Templates, not deliverables.

A document-management platform for accountants, and a marketing calendar that never stopped. The work arrived faster than any one designer could make it.

Intuit Connect 2026. The booth, mocked up in the hall.

The ask

A document-management platform for accountants needed an identity that could stretch: sub-brands, partner co-branding, print, events, email, web, across a marketing calendar that never stopped. Four years and roughly ninety numbered projects. The work would always arrive faster than any one designer could make it by hand.

What I made

Rebuilt brand guidelines and the asset library. Sub-brand identities for the Academy and the Help Center. Partner lockup system for the Rightworks co-branding. Trade show environments for five different booth footprints across four years. A publication system for twenty-plus ebooks and guides. Pardot email template set. Web page templates, landing pages, banner systems. Co-branded campaigns with Intuit, flyer through apparel. Competitive comparison flyers.

A display ad template, before anyone filled it in.

The call

Ninety projects in four years is not something you can hand-make your way through, and the identity slips a little every time somebody is in a hurry, so most of it ended up as a master rather than a piece. A presentation template in 2022. Social frames in 2023, with the placeholder copy still sitting in them. An email frame and a set of page templates in 2025, display ad layouts in 2026. Someone else could fill those in and the work still came out looking like SmartVault. The partner lockups came from the same habit, which is why the co-branded pieces never turned into an argument about whose logo goes bigger.

The build sheet. Panels dimensioned, monitor slots left open.

Outcome

Four years. The ebook template and the presentation master both stayed in use long enough that we rebuilt them a second time, and the same set of shapes I put on a 2022 presentation deck is still holding a booth wall together in 2026.
